General Questions
About Our Services
What is your success rate for data recovery?
Our overall success rate is 96%. This high success rate is due to our experienced engineers, state-of-the-art equipment, and certified cleanroom facilities. However, success rates can vary depending on the type and severity of the failure. We'll provide an honest assessment after our free diagnostic evaluation.
How long does data recovery take?
Standard recovery typically takes 3-5 business days. More complex cases may take 5-7 days. We also offer 24-48 hour emergency service for critical situations. The exact timeline will be provided after our diagnostic evaluation.
Do you really offer free diagnostics?
Yes, absolutely. Our diagnostic evaluation is completely free with no obligation. We'll examine your device, determine the cause of failure, provide a detailed recovery plan, and give you a firm price quote before you decide to proceed.
What does "No Data, No Fee" mean?
It means exactly what it says: if we cannot successfully recover your data, you pay nothing. You only pay our quoted fee if we successfully recover your files and you approve the recovered data. This guarantee protects you and demonstrates our confidence in our services.
Is my data safe and confidential?
Yes. We take data security and privacy very seriously. All work is performed in our secure, monitored facility. We maintain strict confidentiality agreements, follow industry best practices, and can provide additional documentation for sensitive cases. Your data is never shared or accessed beyond what's necessary for recovery.
What should I do if my hard drive fails?
Immediately stop using the drive. Do not attempt to run recovery software, reformat, or continue powering on the device. These actions can cause permanent data loss. Power down the device, unplug it, and contact us. The less you interact with a failed drive, the better chance we have for complete recovery.
Can you recover data from a drive that was dropped?
Yes, physical damage from drops is one of our specialties. We have a certified cleanroom facility and experienced technicians who can handle mechanically damaged drives. However, success depends on the extent of the damage, which we can assess during our free diagnostic.
What types of devices can you recover data from?
We recover data from almost all storage devices including: hard drives (desktop, laptop, external), SSD drives, RAID arrays, NAS systems, USB flash drives, memory cards, smartphones (iPhone and Android), tablets, and more. If it stores data, we can likely help.
How much does data recovery cost?
Our pricing ranges from $299 for basic logical recoveries to $799+ for complex mechanical or RAID recoveries. Emergency 24-48 hour service starts at $999. The exact price depends on the type of failure and complexity. We'll provide a firm quote after our free diagnostic, with no obligation to proceed.
Can you recover deleted files?
Yes, in most cases. If files were recently deleted and the drive hasn't been heavily used since deletion, recovery chances are excellent. The key is to stop using the device immediately after realizing files were deleted, as new data can overwrite the space where deleted files existed.
Do you offer emergency or rush service?
Yes, we offer 24-48 hour emergency service for critical situations. Our engineers will work around the clock if necessary to get your data back quickly. Emergency service pricing starts at $999 depending on the complexity of the recovery.
How do I ship my device to you?
Contact us first and we'll provide detailed packing instructions and a prepaid shipping label if needed. Pack the device securely in bubble wrap and a sturdy box. Do NOT include cables, power adapters, or cases unless specifically requested. We recommend insured shipping with tracking.
Will you return my original device?
Yes, we return your original device along with the recovered data on new secure media (external hard drive or USB). You can request that we keep the original device for secure disposal if you prefer.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cash, checks, and wire transfers. For recoveries over $500, we also offer flexible payment plans. Payment is only required after successful recovery and your approval of the recovered files.
Can you recover data if my drive is making clicking noises?
Clicking noises typically indicate mechanical failure, such as damaged read/write heads. This requires cleanroom recovery, which is one of our core specialties. Stop using the drive immediately and contact us. While more complex and expensive than logical recoveries, we have excellent success rates with mechanical failures.
